PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation absorbing gird for radiographic imaging, which is not susceptible to joint failures at an interface where a sheath electrode is formed.SOLUTION: A radiation absorbing grid includes a grid layer 21 comprising X-ray absorbing sections 26 and X-ray transmitting sections 27 alternately arranged in a direction perpendicular to an X-ray incident direction a support substrate 23, having ion conductive material on the grid layer 21 side surface, for supporting the grid layer 21 and a metallic layer 22 which is located between the grid layer 21 and the support substrate 23 and comprises a first thin film 31 and a second thin film 32 or a third thin film 33. The first thin film 31 functions as a sheath electrode when the X-ray absorbing sections 26 are formed by electroplating. The second film 32 is a metallic film having better adherence to the X-ray transmitting sections 27 than the first thin film 31.
