PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation absorbing grid which is free from troubles due to joint failures and metal precipitation disparity.SOLUTION: A second grid 14 includes a grid layer 21 and a support substrate 23 with a metallic layer 22 therebetween. The grid layer 21 comprises X-ray absorbing sections 26, which absorb X-rays, and X-ray transmitting sections 27, which transmit X-rays, alternately arranged in a direction perpendicular to an X-ray incident direction, where the X-ray transmitting sections 27 are made of a non-conductive material. The support substrate 23 is conductive.
