PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which more effectively suppresses liquid remaining on or liquid returning to a front sheet to make it hard to get stuffy, and enables quick coping when a lot of body fluid is discharged all at once, and fits the body of a wearer, and has excellent flexibility to follow the motion thereof.SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes: a liquid permeable front sheet disposed on the side to be in contact with a skin a rear sheet disposed on the side not to be in contact with the skin and an absorbent body disposed between the two sheets. The front sheet includes: a fiber coarse-dense structure having, on the side to be in contact with the skin, a low density part relatively lower in fiber density than that on the side not to be in contact with the skin when viewed in the thickness direction and a restriction structure for restricting the liquid from diffusing in a planar direction. The absorbent body has high basis weight parts and low basis weight parts, wherein the high basis weight parts have relatively higher density than the low basis weight parts and the low basis weight parts are continuously arranged in the planar direction so as to enclose the high basis weight parts.
