PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article such as a urine pad to be disposed on the inner side of an outer wearing article such as a diaper, underwear, or a pad holder, capable of easily confirming urination.SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes a front surface sheet, a rear surface sheet, and an absorbent body with an absorber. The absorbent article has a vertical direction connecting an abdominal portion and a back portion via a crotch portion, and a lateral direction intersecting the vertical direction. The absorbent article is used with the absorbent body placed on the inner side surface of the outer wearing article. The absorbent article has an overhanging part which overhangs outward in the lateral direction of the article and which can be turned back to the rear sheet side on either side of the absorbent body. The overhanging part includes an indicator part which is discolored in contact with a liquid and a liquid diffusive sheet which are disposed between two layers of virtually impermeable sheets in such a way as to be in contact with each other.
