PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of improving an abutting property to the skin and reducing the leakage of body liquid or the like by securing a stable deformation form of an absorbent.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article comprises: an at least partially liquid permeable surface sheet a liquid impermeable back surface sheet and a liquid holding absorbent disposed between the surface sheet and the back surface sheet. The absorbent has a core part and side parts sectioned by a compressed groove continuously or intermittently formed on the surface on the surface sheet side, and at least a part of the surface sheet is formed so as to be stretched in the width direction of the absorbent article.
