PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ultrasonic diagnostic equipment, capable of extracting a reflected wave component that is an object of imaging, and providing a suitable ultrasonic image.SOLUTION: The equipment includes a means for generating a transmitting ultrasonic wave having at least a first fundamental wave and a second fundamental wave higher in frequency than the first fundamental wave. The transmitting ultrasonic wave is generated while controlling the frequency of at least one of the first fundamental wave and the second fundamental wave so that, when the transmitting ultrasonic wave is transmitted to the subject and the reflected wave is received, the difference tone component between the first fundamental wave and the second fundamental wave contained in the reflected wave interacts with the second harmonic wave of the first fundamental wave, and the chordal component between the first fundamental wave and the second fundamental wave contained in the reflected wave interacts with at least one of the second harmonic wave of the first fundamental wave and the second harmonic wave of the second fundamental wave, and also while controlling the phase of at least one of the first fundamental wave and the second fundamental waver to control the interaction.
