PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaper which is excellent in air permeability, fitness, and a leakage preventing property.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper 1 includes an absorbent body 2 equipped with an absorber 21, a liquid-permeable top sheet 22, a leakage preventive sheet 23, and an exterior nonwoven fabric 24, and flap parts 3 having fastening tapes 4 are formed. A surface coating sheet 31 is fixed on a skin-facing surface side of the absorbent body 2, and in the sheet 31, a part is positioned on the skin-facing surface side of the top sheet 22 and the other part extends beyond a back side end of the absorber 21 and the top sheet 22. The leakage preventive sheet 23 extends near or beyond a straight line L1 combining upper ends of the tapes 4. The exterior nonwoven fabric 24 extends beyond the straight line L1. An oblong stretchable sheet 7 arranged nearer the side of a diaper back side end 1b than the straight line L1 is fixed to the exterior nonwoven fabric 24 in the stretched state at intervals from the leakage preventive sheet 23.
