PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which is excellent in fitness of a back side part and an excreta capturing property by a leakage preventive pocket, and is excellent in leakage preventing performance and wearing comfort.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper 1 includes an absorbent body 2 having a leakage preventive sheet 23 and an exterior nonwoven fabric 24 on a skin non-fitting surface side of an absorber 21, has a pair of flap parts 3 provided with fastening tapes, and has a surface coating sheet 31 arranged in the way that it covers a part of a surface sheet 22. In a back side part of the diaper 1, the exterior non-woven fabric 24 extends outside the leakage preventive sheet 23, and an end part of 21b the absorber is positioned in an inter-tape area R or on its crotch part C side. An end part 23b of the leakage preventive sheet is positioned nearer on the crotch part side than the inter-tape area R and the end part 21b of the absorber. An elastic film 7 is fixed in a width direction of the diaper 1 in a stretched state, has a part in the inter-tape area R and between the absorber 21 and the exterior nonwoven fabric 24, and follows the leakage preventive sheet 23.
