PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise of a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes an MRI body 200, a control device for controlling imaging operation of the MRI body 200, and a bed on which a subject is placed. The MRI body 200 includes: static magnetic field generators 300, 400 for generating a static magnetic field on an observation area 204 for capturing an image of the subject gradient magnetic field generators 210, 211 for generating a gradient magnetic field RF pulse irradiation coils 214, 215, and vacuum vessels 350, 450. The static magnetic field generators 300, 400 include superconductive coils 320, 420 provided inside the vacuum vessels 350, 450, and an iron core 318 provided outside the vacuum vessel 350. Gaps 212 are formed between the gradient magnetic field generators 210, 211 and the RF pulse irradiation coils 214, 215.
