PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain efficient production and rooting percentage improvement of grafted saplings.SOLUTION: Conventionally, a cut surface 1011 of a scion 101 is of V-shape, and a cut surface 1041 of a stock 104 is of Y-shape. In this case, however, after a cut (a first groove) 1047 of a long side and a cut (a second groove) 1048 of a short side are formed as shown in (a), an unnecessary upper part 1049 is cut off to form y-shape as shown in (b). Cutting with a single thin cutter to obtain a fine cut surface can thereby be finished in two processes in comparison with three processes for the Y-shape. Grafted saplings can thereby be efficiently produced. When the scion 101 is thick, a cut 1042 is made from the bottom of V-shape as shown in (c), and an upper part is split in two only for a portion suitable for the diameter of the scion to cover up to an outer edge portion 1011a of circular arc shape. Moreover, a cut surface on the deep cut side 1044 of y-shape comes in close contact without being turned up, thereby attaining the communication of partial sieve tubes to improve the percentage of rooting.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】接木した苗木の効率的な生産および活着率の向上を図る。【解決手段】穂木101の切断面1011がV字、台木104の切断面1041は、従来はY字であったのを、本発明では、(a)で示すように、長辺の切れ目(第1の溝)1047および短辺の切れ目(第2の溝)1048を形成した後、不要な上部1049を切除することで、(b)で示すy字にする。したがって、綺麗な切断面を得るために1枚の薄い刃物で切断する場合に、Y字の3工程に対して、本発明では2工程で済ませられる。これによって、接木した苗木を効率的に生産できる。また、穂木101が太い場合、(c)で示すようにV字の底からの切れ込み1042で、上部は穂木の径に合った分だけ2つに裂かれ、円弧状の外縁部分1011aまで覆い、しかもy字の切れ込みが深い側1044の切断面は捲り上がることなく密着し、一部の師管を連通させ、活着率を向上できる。【選択図】図2
