The subject of the present invention is a composition for topical application consisting of a distinct aqueous phase and a transparent oily phase comprising at least one surfactant which is liquid at ambient temperature and at atmospheric pressure, of HLB <；8 and chosen from esters of fatty acid and sugar and the alkylpolyglucosides, at least one branched alkane having from 8 to 18 carbon atoms, and from 0 to 4% by weight of silicone oils relative to the total weight of the composition. The composition according to the invention makes it possible to obtain, after stirring, an emulsion which again rapidly expands in two transparent phases, having a perfectly clean interface and without the appearance of droplets which remain attached to the walls of the transparent container. The composition according to the invention has the same cleansing efficiency and better sensory properties, in particular it leaves less fat residue on the skin. La présente invention a pour objet une composition pour application topique constituée d'une phase aqueuse et d'une phase huileuse distinctes transparentes comprenant au moins un tensioactif liquide à température ambiante et à pression atmosphérique, de HLB <； 8 et choisi parmi les esters d'acide gras et de sucre et les alkylpolyglucosides, au moins un alcane ramifié comportant de 8 à 18 atomes de carbone, et de 0 à 4 % en poids d'huiles siliconées par rapport au poids total de la composition. La composition selon l'invention permet d'obtenir, après agitation, une émulsion qui se déphase de nouveau rapidement en deux phases transparentes, présentant une interface parfaitement nette et sans apparition de gouttelettes qui restent accrochées au niveau des parois du récipient transparent. La composition conforme à l'invention présente la même efficacité démaquillante et de meilleures propriétés sensorielles, en particulier elle laisse moins de résidus gras sur la peau.
