PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To microcapsulate efficiently a solid substance by a method wherein a substance forming an intermediate layer is separated in a phase from a liquid dispersion consisting of a solution containing the substance forming the intermediate layer and a solid substance difficult to be dissolved in the solution, and then a condensed polymerizable monomer is allowed to react in the dispersion liquid.SOLUTION: In the case where water is used as a solvent, a dispersion liquid comprising an aqueous solution containing a substance forming an intermediate layer, and a solid substance insoluble or difficult to be dissolved in the aqueous solution is adjusted. An aimed microcapsule is obtained by allowing a condensed polymerizable monomer to react in the diapersion liquid wherein the substance forming the intermediate layer is separated in a phase from the dispersion liquid aqueous solution. For the microcapsule, a macromolecular layer is formed on a layer comprising a substance forming the intermediate layer to be generally formed on the solid substance. Such a macromolecule is obtained by polymerizing a corresponding condensed polymerizable monomer in appropriate reacting conditions.
