PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which prevents the reduction in an effective period of a drug and effectiveness thereof caused by an impurity existing in a sulfoalkyl ether cyclodextrin (SAE-CD) composition known as a drug stabilizer.SOLUTION: The SAE-CD composition comprises a sulfoalkyl ether cyclodextrin having an average degree of substitution of 4.5-7.5 and less than 100 ppm of a phosphate.
