PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic that shows excellent moisture retention and stability, using a cholesterol derivative that can impart a moisturizing effect and has excellent stability.SOLUTION: A monoester of cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid and cholesterol is used. The monoester of cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid and cholesterol in the present invention can be used for cosmetics to impart a moisturizing effect thereto.
