PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an absorbent article, capable of preventing poor appearance of a product due to cutting of a stretchable material to be attached to an exterior body and bonding between nonwoven fabric sheets.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an absorbent article includes: an adhesive applying step P1 of forming an adhesive-applied portion 66A or the like on portions equivalent to right-left side edges of the exterior body, wherein a part equivalent to a center of a width direction of the exterior body such as a first nonwoven fabric sheet 60A or the like is an adhesive-free portion 70A or the like a stretchable material arranging step P2 of arranging an original tammy stretchable material 64A or the like on the front surface of the first nonwoven fabric sheet 60A or the like a stretchable material fixing step P3 of fixing the original tammy stretchable material 64A or the like in an expanding state between the layers of the first nonwoven fabric sheet 60A or the like and the second nonwoven fabric sheet 62A or the like a stretchable material cutting step P4 of cutting the part arranged on the adhesive-free portion 70A or the like in the original tammy stretchable material 64A or the like and a sheet bonding step P5 of bonding the adhesive-free portion 70A or the like of the first nonwoven fabric sheet 60A or the like to an adhesive-free portion of the second nonwoven fabric sheet 62A or the like.
