PURPOSE: A revetment block and an installing method thereof are provided to enable a relatively tall tree to grow well and prevent sand and soil from becoming missed at the time of flood by sufficiently supplying a space to hold roots.CONSTITUTION: A revetment block comprises a main net forming unit(1), and an inner net forming unit(2). The main net forming unit has a given height and is formed in a flat net shape. The inner net forming unit makes inner contact with the mesh of the main net forming unit and has a low height. An installing method of the revetment block is as follows. The main net forming unit is installed on the slope of river or revetment. Soil and sand for vegetation is finned in the mesh of the main net forming unit to form a soil/sand layer.
