Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur fortlaufenden Überwachung des medizinischen Zustandes eines Fahrzeuginsassen, insbesondere Fahrers, mittels zumindest einer an einem Lenkrad (3) eines Fahrzeuges (1) angeordneten Sensoreinheit (S1, S2).
