The present invention provides an antimicrobial composition. More specifically, it provides an antimicrobial composition comprising at least one microbial cell and silver (Ag) nanoparticles selected from the group consisting of lactic acid bacteria, cultures thereof, and crushed products thereof. The antimicrobial composition may provide a new material using a microbial cell as a nanoparticle carrier, and may have excellent antibacterial activity using the same.
