Die Erfindung betrifft eine Auflage (2) zum Kühlen zumindest von Teilen des Körpers von Patienten (1), insbesondere Herzstillstandpatienten mit zumindest einem eine Kühlflüssigkeit (8) enthaltenden Kühlelement (3) zur Auflage auf den Körper oder Körperteil, welches Kühlelement (3) vor der Anwendung unter den Gefrierpunkt abgekühlt wird. Weiters betrifft die Erfindung eine Kühleinrichtung zum Kühlen zumindest von Teilen des Körpers vom Patienten (1) mit einer derartigen Kühlauflage (2) und einem Kühlgerät 14.
