PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating an edible coating uniformly on the surface of a food dough by a simple device and to provide the device.SOLUTION: In a coating device (1) of an edible coating, which is a device for coating the edible coating by bringing a coating member provided on the tip of a coating part into contact from the periphery with the surface of a moved rod-like food dough (DA), the coating part is provided reciprocatably to a support part, and is energized by energization means.
