The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for preparing instant boiled rice, and more specifically, to an apparatus for cooking instant boiled rice comprising: a supply module for supplying a container which contains predetermined materials； a cooking module which has a predetermined space therein to allow a pallet to pass therethrough and in which a predetermined temperature and pressure atmosphere is maintained so that cooking of the materials may be performed； and a transfer module allowing the pallet to move in the cooking module, wherein the supply module includes a pallet in which one or more standardized containers can be disposed.
