The techniques disclosed herein provide various embodiments for mapping the glare reflected from an object to a light source that is a source of glare. The embodiments disclosed herein can accurately map the glare to the light source by capturing only a few images with the camera. Each image is captured while illuminating an object with a different pattern of light sources. A flash-free video can also be determined.
