PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a liquid return.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 is configured so that a first absorption sheet 22 is arranged between a top sheet 21 and a back sheet 23. A second absorption sheet 22a is arranged between the first absorption sheet 22 and the back sheet 23. The first absorption sheet 22 comprises a first upper layer sheet 221, a granular or fibrous first high absorbent material 222 and a first lower layer sheet 223. The first absorption sheet 22 extends to a longer direction from an end edge of the second absorption sheet 22a in a longer direction, on both sides of the longer direction. On both sides of the longer direction, extension parts 224 of the first absorption sheet 22 extending from the second absorption sheet 22a comprise a back sheet contact area 225 which is separated from the end edge of the second absorption sheet 22a in the longer direction to the longer direction and contacts the back sheet 23.
