PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of diffusing excrement in a longer direction for enhancing absorption performance, and suppressing leakage of the excrement in a width direction regardless of a body posture of a wearer.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises: a pair of embossment parts 5, 5 which become dent in a thickness direction from a surface sheet to an absorber, in an overlap region where the absorber 4 overlaps to the surface sheet 2, which extend so as to pass a center part of the longer direction along the longer direction, and which are arranged at an interval in the width direction； and a pair of side flaps 10, 10 which are provided on one of both end parts in the width direction on the center part of the longer direction, in a non-overlap region where the absorber does not overlap to the surface sheet, and which can be extended/shrunk in the longer direction.
