The present invention relates to an isoprenoid (IPSQ) production promoter using squalene as a precursor used for plants. The present invention also relates to a method for increasing the content of IPSQ in a plant body, in other words, a method for producing a plant having a high IPSQ content. Furthermore, this invention relates to the new use of a jasmonic acid compound.本発明は、植物に対して使用されるスクワレンを前駆体とするイソプレノイド（ＩＰＳＱ）生成促進剤に関する。また本発明は、植物体中のＩＰＳＱの含有量を高める方法、言い換えればＩＰＳＱ高含有植物を作製する方法に関する。さらに本発明はジャスモン酸化合物の新たな用途に関する。
