The present invention relates to a purification apparatus having a case where multiple photocatalyst sets are installed at regular intervals. A photocatalyst set comprises a photocatalyst plate and a lamp. The purification apparatus purifies gas or liquid which is contaminated due to hydroxyl radical generated by irradiating the light of the lamp, capable of a photochemical reaction, to the photocatalyst which is separated into a hole having positive and negative electric charges, after contacting an electrolyte comprising titanium dioxide. The purification apparatus uses the photocatalyst set which comprises a photocatalyst plate coated with a photocatalyst and a lamp generating light capable of photochemical reaction on the photocatalyst plate.
