The oblong absorber (4) disposed in the inseam comprises a first small width portion, a second small width portion, a central low-rigidity portion formed to extend along the center line bisecting the disposable diaper (1) in the width direction, and a pair of sideward low-rigidity portions formed almost equidistantly on the opposite sides in the width direction of the central low-rigidity portion and the inseam (23) is provided with a skin contacting surface side sheet and a skin non-contacting surface side sheet, with the skin contacting surface side sheet being lower in initial strength than the skin non-contacting surface side sheet or the chassis (2) when stretched.
