To provide a method and a device for preparing a nutrient formulation containing a long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid and/or dosing the nutrient formulation.SOLUTION: There is provided a nutrient formulation containing a long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (LC-PUFA), in which over 5% of the LC-PUFA has a shape of monoglyceride and/or free fatty acid. The nutrient formulation may further contain lipase selected from lipase of Chromobacterium viscosum, lipase of Pseudomonas fluorescens, and Rhizopus oryzae lipase. There is provided a method for preparing the nutrient formulation before intake by a target, including a process for exposing a liquid nutrient composition containing the LC-PUFA triglyceride and/or LC-PUFA ester to the lipase.
