PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cultivation methods for increasing the content of various amino acids in a cultivated plant overall.SOLUTION: A method for cultivating a plant uses a planting panel plate 51 having a plurality of planting holes 52 for putting a seedling root pot, and a cultivation bed vat 53, to supply a nutrient solution to the cultivation bed vat 53, comprising adding glutamic acid and/or glutamic acid salt to the nutrient solution. Preferably, glutamic acid and/or glutamic acid salts are added at an amount of 0.001 to 0.4 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the nutrient solution.
