The invention relates to edible bio-active films comprising: a matrix material such as a sheet of paper formed by chitosan of a high molecular weight or a mixture of high-molecular-weight chitosan and an aqueous extract of extracted quinoa proteins at pH 11； and one or more layers of a composition of a printable suspension of nanoparticles, formed by a solution of low-molecular-weight chitosan and thymol with sodium tripolyphosphate dispersed in glycerol.
