At least the first baking plate (4) can be driven relative to the second baking plate (5) along a preferably linear displacement path (s) towards the second baking plate (5) by means of adjusting means (7) which comprise an electric motor in order to flatten the dough portion (3, 3') by pressing same between the baking plates (4, 5).
