PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a novel silicone phosphoric acid triester and to apply the triester as a surface-treating agent of a powder or the like for cosmetics.SOLUTION: The silicone phosphoric acid triester is a compound represented by formula (I) (wherein, R1s independently represent 1-4C alkyl R represents a bivalent 2-7C hydrocarbon which may have at least one group selected from -O- and -CO- and n represents an integer of 5 to 40). When the compound is used as the surface-treating agent of the powder, it provides water repellency and dispersibility by the treatment with a small amount, and exhibits good attachability. Especially, the compound is suitable for the surface covering treatment of a metal oxide such as titanium oxide, zinc oxide and iron oxide.
