The composition includes γ-oryzanol and biocompatible particles encapsulating γ-oryzanol inside. The biocompatible particles may include a polylactide glycolide copolymer having a number average particle diameter of 2.5 to 1,000 nm or a modified polyethylene glycol thereof. The composition is used to improve insulin resistance. The composition is also used for the treatment or prevention of a disease selected from the group consisting of obesity, dyslipidemia, impaired glucose tolerance, diabetes, arteriosclerosis and inflammatory disease.組成物は、γ－オリザノールと、γ－オリザノールを内部に封入する生体適合性粒子と、を含む。生体適合性粒子は、個数平均粒子径が２．５～１，０００ｎｍのポリラクチドグリコライド共重合体又はそのポリエチレングリコール修飾体を含んでもよい。当該組成物は、インスリン抵抗性の改善に使用される。また、当該組成物は、肥満、脂質異常症、耐糖能不全、糖尿病、動脈硬化症及び炎症性疾患からなる群から選択される疾患の治療又は予防に使用される。
