PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent side leakage of excrement by raising a sidewall part.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 includes a body part 2 and a pair of lower gather sheets 4 provided on both sides in a right-left direction on the lower surface of the body part 2. When the absorbent article 1 is worn, the pair of lower gather sheets 4 is folded back to the outer side in the right-left direction to form outer side gathers erected toward a wearer. Also, at a front part 201 and a rear part 203, both ends in the longitudinal direction of the body part 2 are lifted and the body part 2 is curved in a boat shape. Thus, at the intermediate part 202 of the absorbent article 1, the lower gather sheets 4 are erected high.
