PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which looks more like an underwear.SOLUTION: An absorbent article having a lengthwise direction, a lateral direction, and a back and forth direction has: an absorbent body going along the lengthwise direction； and a sheet member which is provided with a belt part going along the lateral direction and a pair of leg gathering parts going along the lengthwise direction. A waistline opening and a pair of leg-line openings are formed. In the lengthwise direction, from the waistline opening side to the leg-line opening, a first overlapping area and a second overlapping area where at least the absorbent body and the sheet member inclined outside in the lateral direction overlap are provided for one side and the other side in the back and forth directions respectively. In the first overlapping area, at least the absorbent body and the sheet member are bonded in a first bonding part； in the second overlapping area, at least the absorbent body and the sheet member are bonded in a second bonding part.
