The pyridine thio derivative represented by the following general formula (I), or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof: wherein R and R respectively represent a hydrogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl group, a C1-6 alkoxy group or a halogen atom; R and R respectively represent a hydrogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl group or a C1-4 alkoxy group; X represents —O—, —S— or —NH—; Y represents a C1-6 alkyl group which may be substituted by a substituent selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group, a C1-6 alkoxy group and a halogen atom, or - (RO) -R (where R represents a C1-6 alkylene group, R represents a C1-6 alkyl group which may be substituted by a substituent selected from a group consisting of a hydroxyl group, a C 1 alkoxy group and a halogen atom, and n is an integer from 1 to 10) and Z represents a hydrogen atom or C 1 alkyl group. 2. The thyroid derivative of pyridine or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof according to claim 1, wherein Y in the general formula (I) is a C1-6 alkyl group which may be substituted with a substituent selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group or a C1-4 alkoxy group. The pyridine thio derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof according to claim 1, wherein Y in the general formula (I) is - (RO) -R (where R represents a C1-6 alkylene group, R represents a C1-6 alkyl group which may be substituted with a substituent selected from the group consisting of hydroxyl groups, alkoxy groups and halogen atoms, and n is an integer from 1 to 10), where R is an ethylene group and R is a C1-6 alkyl group which may be substituted by a fluorine atom. 4.
