PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which prevents leakage of body fluid and is comfortable to wear.SOLUTION: A mild incontinence liner 1 has: an absorber 4 interposed between a liquid permeable surface sheet 3 and a rear surface sheet 2 and embossments 10 provided approximately along the longer direction on both sides of the absorber 4. The embossments 10 comprise: surface embossments 11 which are provided from the surface of the liquid permeable surface sheet 3 into the liquid permeable surface sheet 3 and the absorber 4 and core embossments 12 which are provided in regions where no surface embossments 11 exist from the surface of the absorber 4 into the absorber 4. The surface embossments 11 alternately form zones 14 where large-area surface embossments 13 formed of relatively large areas are provided and zones 16 where small-area surface embossments 15 formed of relatively small areas are provided. The core embossments 12 are formed at least in the zones 16 where the small-area surface embossments 15 are provided.
