PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for measuring a disinfecting power, the method determining the disinfecting power of an electrolytic water more accurately.SOLUTION: The method for measuring a disinfecting power according to the present invention is a method for measuring the disinfecting power of an electrolytic water. The method includes the steps of: adding a pigment to an electrolytic water and measuring a disinfecting power by a color reaction with the pigment. A measuring device (10) for measuring a disinfecting power according to the present invention includes a measurement unit (11) to be filled with the electrolytic water and an injection unit (12) for adding a pigment to the measurement unit (11).
