This apparatus (1 ) comprises: - a coating (2) able to surround the patients shoulders and the upper part of the patients arms and thorax, comprising cutouts (5) in its areas intended to extend at the patients axillae - elongate anterior reinforcements (3), connected to the clothing (2) - a tightening means (4) situated at the dorsal part of the clothing (2), able to perform tightening at the patients shoulder blades. According to the invention, - said elongate anterior reinforcements (3) comprise two reinforcements intended to extend at the patients delto-pectoral grooves when the apparatus (1 ) is worn, and - said tightening means (4) is such that it can perform essentially transverse tightening, over at least the entire height of the shoulder blades.Linvention concerne un appareil (1) qui comprend : - un revêtement (2) capable dentourer les épaules du patient et la partie supérieure des bras et du thorax du patient, comprenant des fenêtres (5) dans les zones devant sétendre au niveau des aisselles du patient - des renforts antérieurs allongés (3), connectés au vêtement - un moyen de resserrement (4) situé sur la partie dorsale du vêtement (2), permettant de resserrer au niveau des omoplates du patient. Selon linvention, - lesdits renforts antérieurs allongés (3) comprennent deux renforts destinés à sétendre au niveau des sillons delto-pectoraux lorsque lappareil (1) est porté, et - ledit moyen de resserrement (4) est tel quil permet deffectuer un resserrement essentiellement transversal, sur au moins la totalité de la hauteur des omoplates.
