PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which, an aggregate of red blood cells generated by contact of a hemagglutination to menstrual blood, hardly adheres to a skin, and which is excellent in absorption performance of the menstrual blood and wearing feeling.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 for absorbing menstrual blood comprises: a liquid permeable surface sheet 2 forming a skin facing surface a rear surface sheet 3 forming a non-skin facing surface and an absorber 4 which is arranged between both sheets, and has a vertical direction X along a cross direction of a wearer and a lateral direction Y orthogonal to the vertical direction.
