PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam sterilizer capable of preventing backflow of liquid into a pump.SOLUTION: A steam sterilizer includes a liquid supply pump for transferring liquid into a chamber, a sensor arranged outside the chamber, for detecting that liquid having a quantity necessary for a sterilization treatment of a sterilization object is supplied into the chamber, and a control part for controlling action of the steam sterilizer.
