PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can effectively prevent leakage to the outside even in a case of impending incontinence or the like where a large amount of excretion liquid is excreted at one time.SOLUTION: On a surface facing a non-skin side in a thickness direction of a body part 1s of an absorbent article 1 having an absorbent core including a liquid absorbent material and a liquid permeable surface sheet provided closer to the skin side than the absorbent core, an adhesive part for attaching the body part to underwear is provided. On a surface facing the skin side in the thickness direction of the body part, a plurality of compression parts E which are obtained by compressing both the surface sheet and the absorbent core together from the skin side in the thickness direction are recessively formed. The compression parts include a first compression part E1 provided on a central part 1sC in the longitudinal direction of the body part and a second compression part E2 provided on a part closer to the end side in the longitudinal direction than the central part.
