PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing apparatus which allows a user to easily grasp the physical relation between a virtual endoscopic image and a cross section image when observing the same observation object in the virtual endoscopic image and the cross section image.SOLUTION: A medical image processing apparatus acquires volume data in a three-dimensional space including a subject, generates a virtual endoscopic image directed to the sight line direction from the view point in the three-dimensional space, generates an MPR image of the volume data with a plane including the view point and in parallel to the sight line direction as a cross section, displays a cross section position symbol together with the virtual endoscopic image, displays the MPR image, receives the change operation of the position of the cross section position symbol in the virtual endoscopic image, re-generates the MPR image of the cross section corresponding to the changed position of the cross section position symbol, re-displays the changed cross section position symbol together with the virtual endoscopic image, and displays the re-generated MPR image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT【課題】同じ観察対象を仮想内視鏡画像と断面画像とで観察する場合に、仮想内視鏡画像と断面画像との位置関係を容易に把握できる医用画像処理装置を提供する。【解決手段】医用画像処理装置は、被検体を含む3次元空間のボリュームデータを取得し、3次元空間における視点から視線方向を向いた仮想内視鏡画像を生成し、視点を含み視線方向に平行な平面を断面として、ボリュームデータのMPR画像を生成し、仮想内視鏡画像とともに断面位置記号を表示し、且つMPR画像を表示する。また、仮想内視鏡画像における断面位置記号の位置の変更操作を受け付け、変更された断面位置記号の位置に対応する断面のMPR画像を再生成し、仮想内視鏡画像とともに変更された断面位置記号を再表示し、且つ再生成されたMPR画像を表示する。【選択図】図8
