PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition capable of exhibiting an excellent antioxidative stress protective effect and exhibiting an excellent antioxidative stress protective effect. SOLUTION: The antioxidative stress protection composition contains an emulsified composition containing a carotenoid and an emulsifier, and the carotenoid is astaxanthin as an active ingredient. The method for producing the antioxidative stress protection composition includes an aqueous phase preparation step, an oil phase preparation step, and an emulsification composition preparation step, and optionally includes a soft capsule encapsulation step. Further, a method for producing a beverage containing an antioxidant stress protection composition includes an aqueous phase preparation step, an oil phase preparation step, an emulsification composition preparation step, and a mixing step.
