PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing an oil-in-water emulsion whitely turbid cosmetic having an average particle size of emulsion droplets of 100-500 nm and excellent in stability despite of a low viscosity composition without using mechanical shearing force.SOLUTION: The method of producing the oil-in-water emulsion whitely turbid cosmetic including an oil (A) of liquid at ambient temperature, a hydrogenated phospholipid (B), a nonionic surfactant (C) having an HLB of 9-16 and a specific skeleton structure, a bivalent glycol (D), and water (E) comprises the steps of: obtaining emulsion droplets having an average particle size of 100 to 500 nm by adding a water phase prepared by mixing (D) and (E-1) at a mass ratio of (D):(E-1)=3:7 to 7:3 to an oil phase prepared by stirring and mixing the constituents (A), (B) and (C) at 50 to 80°C so that the ratio of a mass of the oil phase: a total mass of (D) and (E-1) is equal to 1:2 to 1:5 and further adding other aqueous constituents and a homogeneous water phase including water (E-2), and cooling to ambient temperature.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】機械的剪断力を用いることなく、乳化滴の平均粒子径が100~500nmであり、低粘度の組成物においても安定性に優れた白濁状水中油型乳化化粧料の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】(A)常温で液状の油剤、(B)水素添加リン脂質、(C)HLBが9~16であり、特定の骨格を有する非イオン性界面活性剤、(D)2価のグリコール類、(E)水を含有する白濁状水中油型乳化化粧料の製造方法において、前記成分(A)、(B)および(C)を50~80℃にて混合攪拌した油相中に、(D):(E-1)が3:7~7:3の質量比で混合された水相を、油相の質量:((D)と(E-1)の合計質量)=1:2~1:5の比となるように添加して、平均粒子径が100~500nmである乳化滴を得る工程と、さらに他の水性成分および(E-2)水を含む均一水相を添加して常温まで冷却する工程とを備えることを特徴とする白濁状水中油型乳化化粧料の製造方法。【選択図】なし
