PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is used in combination with a urine-taking pad, which can reduce leakage of a body fluid from a back or abdominal side, and which can reduce deviation in a longitudinal direction of the urine-taking pad.SOLUTION: The invention relates to an absorbent article comprising: a top sheet a back sheet and an absorber. A waist sheet is provided on a position where the waist sheet covers a front side end part and/or rear side end part of the absorber on the top sheet, the waist sheet has an almost U-shaped notch extending in a width direction. The notch is opened toward a center of the longitudinal direction. In the vicinity of the opening of the notch, the top sheet and the waist sheet are not jointed.
