PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber inspection method with which it is possible to detect a defect location occurring on the scraping surface of an absorber due to scraping off of scuffing.SOLUTION: Provided is an absorber inspection method for inspecting the surface shape of an absorber face 5S having had excessive fiber stacking scraped off that is generated when manufacturing an absorber 5 by stacking fiber material 54 inside a recess 42 for fiber stacking that is disposed on an outer circumference 41S of a fiber stacking drum 41 in an absorber manufacturing device 10, the absorber inspection method comprising the steps of: measuring the two-dimensional surface shape of the absorber 5 using a two-dimensional laser displacement gauge 110 disposed downstream in the rotation direction of the fiber stacking drum 41 from an excessive fiber stacking scraping position measuring the two-dimensional surface shape of one absorber 5 multiple times successively in one direction finding a three-dimensional surface shape of the absorber on the basis of the two-dimensional surface shape measured multiple times and comparing the measured three-dimensional surface shape with a three-dimensional surface shape in normal state to determine whether the quality of the absorber 5 is good or bad.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】スカッフィングの掻き取りにより吸収体の掻き取り表面に生じた不良箇所の検出を可能にした吸収体の検査方法を提供する。【解決手段】吸収体の製造装置10における積繊ドラム41の外周面41Sに配した積繊用凹部42内に繊維材料54を積繊して吸収体5を製造する際に生じる積繊過剰分を掻き取った吸収体面5Sの表面形状を検査する吸収体の検査方法であって、積繊過剰分の掻き取り位置よりも積繊ドラム41の回転方向下流側に配した2次元レーザ変位計110を用いて、吸収体5の2次元表面形状を計測する工程と、2次元表面形状の計測を一つの吸収体5に対して一方向に順次複数回行う工程と、複数回計測した2次元表面形状に基づいて前記吸収体の3次元表面形状を求める工程と、計測した3次元表面形状と正常な状態の3次元表面形状とを比較して、吸収体5の良否を判断する工程とを有する吸収体の検査方法。【選択図】図1
