PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent three-dimensional gathers of an outer disposable diaper from getting dirty.SOLUTION: A pad type disposable diaper 200 comprises: a liquid-permeable top sheet 22 forming the surface a liquid-impermeable sheet 21 placed at the back surface side an absorber 23 interposed between them inner three-dimensional gathers 24 projecting to the front side with both sides of the surface as root portions and outer three-dimensional cover portions 27 extending sideward from the projecting portions of the inner three-dimensional gathers 24.
