PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric allowing a liquid to pass efficiently by reducing the thickness when wetted with the liquid, and hardly returning the liquid to the surface after the liquid has passed: and to provide an absorbing article returning the liquid in a small amount.
SOLUTION: The nonwoven fabric 10 includes a conjugate fiber containing first and second components having different melting points, and obtained by forming many thermally fused points by thermally fusing intersection points of the conjugate fibers to each other. The nonwoven fabric 10 has a rate of the thickness change regulated so as to be &ge15% when changed from a dried state to a wet state. The absorbing article has a front surface sheet, a back surface sheet and an absorber positioned between the front surface sheet and the back surface sheet, and the front surface sheet comprises the nonwoven fabric 10.
