PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an absorbent article in which, an embossment groove hardly becomes unclear, due to reduction of a collapse amount of a surface sheet on the embossment groove.SOLUTION: A production method of an absorbent article comprising a front surface sheet 2, a rear surface sheet 3 and an absorber 4, and comprising an embossment groove 7 on a surface of the front surface sheet 2 side. The method comprises: a press step for compressing the absorber 4 in a thickness direction and an embossment step for, after supplying the front surface sheet 2 to one surface of the absorber 4, compressing the surface sheet 2 and the absorber 4 from the surface sheet side for forming the embossment groove 7. In the embossment step, a low compression part and a high compression part in which, the absorber 4 is compacted relative to the low compression part are formed on a bottom part of the embossment groove 7. When a single linear transverse line L which traverses the embossment groove 7 along a width direction of the absorber 4 is drawn, and a total value of lengths where the transverse line is overlapped to the high compression part 71 is defined as a contact line length, compression is performed in a manner, according to the contact line length, a degree of compression of the absorber 4 is changed partially in the press step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT【課題】エンボス溝における表面シートの陥入量が低下してエンボス溝が不鮮明になることが起りにくい、吸収性物品の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】表面シート2、裏面シート3及び吸収体4を具備し、表面シート2側の面に形成されたエンボス溝7を有する吸収性物品の製造方法であって、吸収体4を厚み方向に圧縮するプレス工程と、吸収体4の片面上に表面シート2を供給した後に、表面シート側から表面シート2及び吸収体4を圧搾してエンボス溝7を形成するエンボス工程とを有しており、エンボス工程においては、低圧搾部と低圧搾部よりも吸収体4が圧密化された高圧搾部とをエンボス溝7の底部に形成し、エンボス溝7を吸収体4の幅方向に沿って横断する1本の直線の横断線Lを引き、横断線が高圧搾部71と重なる部分の長さの合計値を接触線長さと定義したとき、プレス工程は、接触線長さに応じて、吸収体4を圧縮する程度を部分的に異ならせて行う。【選択図】図4
